GOOD NEWS!!!
It is pleasing to know that all is
going according to plan. The Rainbow
Family of Living Light Legaliaison
National Office, in East Texas, is
deciding national strategy, which is
being mailed out from Oregon,
elucidated via Colorado, and
implemented by volunteers in other
parts of the country. Superb teamwork!
GREAT NEWS!!!!!!
Sometime last week both the Senate and
the House passed, and President Clinton
signed the "Religious Freedom
Restoration Act." This law, 5 USC
504(b)1)(C), amounts to a major change
in the legal landscape behind the
pending Anti-Gathering regulation.
This Act comes as an answer to prayer.
Now that Congress has mandated the
government must show a "compelling
interest," the Anti-Gathering plot may
have run into a wall.
This Act greatly improves the chance to
get an injunction against whatever
regulation the government tries to
pass. D.C. Crew was laying 9 to 1 odds
against the Peoples' chance of winning
in court, which is why they put such
energy into stopping the rule before it
got to court. Now, if the rule winds
up in court, D.C. thinks, the odds are
in our favor.
We wouldn't even be surprised if this
regulation just disappears.
But it's still too soon to break out
the champaign. It is suggested that we
consider all the options.
