A Hippie Event

Granville - About 20,000 people are expected in this remote corner of Addison County in the Green Mountain National Forest for a fourth of July happening. The event is being compared to, although on a smaller scale, the hippiefest held in Woodstock, N.Y. in the late 60's and is expected to draw "back to earth" type of people from across the country.

State and federal law enforcement officials are preparing for the event. Besides, Vermont State Police and the Sheriff's Department federal law enforcement officials form across the U.S. will be brought in for the occasion. Governor Richard Snelling has expressed concern that those attending the affair respect Vermont law, especially drug laws.
