"Turtle Island" Disclaimer

This afternoon I received a letter from Duane Holloway which mystifies me;
I want to respond to a couple of items, in case other folks received his
letter. Duane's letter says there is a movement led by the Michigan family
to have a "Turtle Island Gathering" in Wisconsin as an alternative to the
Gathering in Wyoming. I have spoken to no one in Michigan who is promoting
this gathering, or who is affiliated with the "Turtle Island" folks. This
includes my wonderful brother bill-i (or as Duane spells it, Billy-I), who
returned from Kentucky with the word that no decision had been reached when
he left there (though it is true he was pushing for Wisconsin at vision
council). When the word came that Kentucky had reached consensus to accept
Wyoming, bill-i did not dispute that. All Michigan family I know (including
most listed as focalizers in the Guide) are saying Wyoming is Home in 1994.
Why Duane didn't check with Michigan family before sending his letter of
disinformation is beyond me.
There will (probably) be a council on the 7th at the Michigan Regional to
discuss this.
Love to all,
