Dear Patrick:
Attached is a copy of Permit Amendment #3 that adds to the authorization the approval to erect a 40 foot, guyed, single-pole, communications tower at the main meadow CALM site. In the future, these sites must be approved in advanced, prior to erection of the tower. You must also provide in advance, frequency and power output information so that we can make a determination as to whether or not your communications systems will interfere with other local or government communications prior to installation of your equipment. This must be done by provide a copy of the FCC license and filling out a Technical Data Sheet, which is a standard Forest Service form that can be provided if asked.

The Forest Service has the authorization to inspect and measure output power and frequency of the approved site.

It is important to note that because the tower did not have prior authorization before erecting it, it could have been confiscated for installing an improvement on National Forest System lands without authorization.

Sincerely,

DOUGLAS F. OLIVER District Ranger
