I've been hearing some senseless talk about a paramilitary
confrontation with the law enforcement constabulary at the
Gatherings.
I feel the attitude could be a government sponsored set-up
designed to discredit the Family. This could lace many in a
dangerous situation.
I am not denouncing armed struggle, there's a time and a
place for it. I did support the Weather Underground in the
'70's.
However, we must deal with this situation in the tradition
of "We Shall Overcome."
I say fight the impeding regulations with discipline and
non-violence. We want to win friends and influence destiny.
When you think of combatting the regs think of the Dalai Lama,
Abbie Hoffman, Dr. King, Gandhi and John Lennon.
We must non-violently defend our right to assemble, speak
freely, and the right to disseminate literature.
I could visualize people getting busted for giving out the
Bill of Rights if the regulations are adopted.
